The 4 Noble Truths: 1st Noble Truth of Dukkha is not about life is suffering. It explains the prevalence of suffering when one confronts the 8 realities of life and existence without proper understanding.
Have to reflect on the 5 daily contemplations every day. If you don’t react and stir your mind when faced with a situation or when problem arise, you will be at peace.
The cause of suffering is craving born of self-delusion leading to clinging and attachment to the 5 grasping aggregates of Form and Mind.

Bro Song’s sharing on how he has resolved a major karmic retribution recently by applying the Buddha DharmaAll causes of suffering are due to your attachment to your 5 aggregates of form and mind.

To solve problems in life, you need to be patient. It is just a ‘form and mind’ and not so real & not what you think. Most happenings are related to karma. But sometimes, they could be a test for you to go through. If you have the understanding to overcome them, then the karmic effect will cease to be when they have got no more power over you.

Your wisdom has to be very stable for you to have the ability to respond to your problems spontaneously. Stabilize your wisdom via the 1st, 2nd n 3rd turnings of the 4NTruth cultivation. Only when your wisdom has stabilized, can you arise this yoniso manasikara (or wise attention) at the moment of sense experience to deal with defilement. .

Whatever happens in life, do accept it as a reality of life. Do not react or stir your mind. Don’t get angry and make yourself miserable. But you need to have mindfulness and the sensitivity of mind to develop the understanding to solve your problems.

Patience via understanding is genuinely true patience.

3 important virtues to help us walk the path of dharma are – Faith, Sincerity and Diligence.

Sis. Mimi’s & Bro. Chong Lim’s sharing on The Buddha and His teachings – page 48 onward;
Buddha’s first 7 weeks after His enlightenment.
Nirvana is not a state of being. It is complete cessation of form and mind. The mundane mind connects to the true nature and realizes itself. It is the unconditioned. Hence, there is nothing – no movement or mind activity at all. Thus there is no suffering.

The cause of suffering is craving borne of delusion and ignorance. So whether the craving is positive or negative, it will still lead to suffering.
To break Sakkayaditthi one has to awaken to the 12 links.

You have 2 minds (mundane mind and supra-mundane mind)

Sense desires arise from your craving. Only wisdom can free and liberate us from sense desires. Without wisdom, you will crave, cling and grasp and want things your way.

If you don’t have the wisdom as yet, immediately upon contact, not only feeling arises, it will also immediately condition craving. With wisdom – upon contact, feeling will be pure feeling.

iii) When this arise that arise, when this ceases that ceases. (Imasmim sati idam hoti; Imasmim asati idam na hoti) – this is how duality and dependent origination manifest.

iv) Cause of suffering is attachment or craving. Attachment/craving arises from self-delusion. Behind self-delusion is ignorance. Only wisdom can cease ignorance and free our mind from all suffering, leading to Enlightenment.
